Jaime Speed (she/her) is a Saskatoon-based poet who has been published in The Rat’s Ass Review, Hobo Camp Review, Anti-Heroin Chic, Psaltery & Lyre, Channel, New Feathers Anthology, The Wild Word, Eunoia Review, Flora Fiction, Neologism Poetry Journal, The Pine Cone Review, Hole in the Head Review, Literary Mama and Book of Matches, along with numerous other journals, collections, and anthologies. Her prose poetry was selected for Best Small Fictions 2021 bySonder Press. She is the Honourable Mention recipient of the 2024 Guild Prize (SWG). Her poetry is inspired by themes of family, place, grief, and nostalgia. She believes in art and kindness and loves pugs and coffee. Jaime is passionate about the intersection of arts and community and has previously collaborated on the Poetry Downtown project (supported by the City of Saskatoon, Downtown Saskatoon, and the Parliamentary Poet Laureate of Canada) as well as Voices from Inside the Blue House: Writers in Collaboration (supported by Remai Modern and Saskatoon Public Library).
